Welcome to the official HealthGrades issue of HealthScope. Our physicians and staff members have worked so hard to receive outstanding accolades from HealthGrades, the nation’s largest independent healthcare ratings organization, that we wanted to share the details of what this recognition means to our patients and their care.
You will read about our five-star heart care, including our open-heart surgery program and heart failure treatment protocols. In addition, the issue features articles about our five-star surgery care highlighting three of our newest medical staff members. Along with heart and surgical care, our pulmonary and critical care areas also received distinction. In addition, our quality of care measures from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are among the best for local hospitals, with rankings in the 90th percentile across most treatment measures. The most recent update to the Hospital compare website shows that in the area of
patient satisfaction, Floyd Memorial has the highest ratings of any other hospital in a 25 mile radius. In response to the question “Would you recommend our hospital to your family and friends for care?,” we were ranked the highest of any area hospital.
These scores show that we are committed to providing you with the best care and experience possible.
Thank you for choosing us and recommending us to your loved ones. On a final note, I want to remind the community that the Floyd Memorial Foundation will be hosting its annual Golf Classic at Fuzzy Zoeller’s Covered Bridge Golf Club on Friday, June 19. This event raises funds to support patient care and education outreach for the communities of Southern Indiana. You can read more about the event and how you can
be involved on page 5 of this issue.
Have a great start to a healthy summer!
