New Albany, Ind. – Baptist Health Floyd and the Kentucky Clinical Trials Laboratory (KCTL), LLC have recently formed a new partnership allowing for new state-of-art trials to also be conducted at Baptist Health Floyd. KCTL is a CLIA-certified laboratory and a clinical trials organization, which undertakes both national and international trials in Kentuckiana. It already has Baptist and Hardin Memorial hospitals in its network.
Under this new partnership, KCTL and Baptist Health Floyd have already established new clinical trials including tests for the diagnosis of heart attack and heart failure in a timely manner.
Both organizations have also agreed to establish the new Cancer Biomarker Research Center at Baptist Health Floyd to conduct investigator-initiated studies for cancer. Later this month they hope to announce plans for a non-invasive and ground-breaking clinical trial to detect lung cancer, which will be performed at Baptist Health Floyd.
